This print of Zenas M. Crane’s House is labeled ‘Albertype’. An Albertype used a printing plate created with a photograph and a gelatin-covered plate. The inked plate could be used for a limited number of prints.
This print shows both the interior and exterior of the Old Berkshire Mill. The date is unknown but it appears to be the original mill that burned down in 1872.
The type of etching, woodcut, or engraving is unknown.
